Nissan’s flagship SUV is back and better than ever, and we’ve got it right here at Covington Nissan in Virginia. And when we say it’s better than ever, we mean it, as the 2018 Nissan Rogue has been fully and thoroughly upgraded, updated and enhanced to be safer, more powerful, more capable and more efficient than ever before. The new Nissan Rogue is also the country’s first Nissan model to feature the all-new ProPILOT Assist safety system, which we’ll get to in a bit.

First, we want to take a look under the hood and find out what powers the 2018 Nissan Rogue. All new Nissan Rogue trim levels feature a powerful, capable and efficient 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine capable of providing you with up to 170 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. This impressive engine is paired with the equally impressive Xtronic transmission which features standard Sport Mode and Eco switches so you can customize your driving experience. The gas mileage you get with your 2018 Nissan Rogue depends on whether you choose all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive. New Nissan Rogue models equipped with all-wheel drive get 25 miles per gallon in the city and 32 miles per gallon on the highway, while front-wheel drive models get 26 miles per gallon in the city and 33 miles per gallon on the highway.

What is the New Nissan Rogue’s ProPILOT Assist Safety System? And What Other Safety Features Come with the 2018 Rogue?

The most impressive and exciting new feature for the 2018 Nissan Rogue is the all-new ProPILOT Assist safety system. This newly available system assists with steering, braking and accelerating whenever you’re on a single-lane highway. The system also helps you stay centered in your lane, safely traverse through stop-and-go traffic, maintain your desired vehicle speed and maintain your desired distance from the vehicle in front of you. And, best of all, you can do it all quickly and easily using the system’s intuitive two-button control scheme.

The available ProPILOT Assist system isn’t the only impressive new safety feature, however. New Nissan Rogue models also feature safety and driver assistance systems such as an Intelligent Around View® Monitor with Moving Object Detection, a radar-based Blind Spot Warning system, Lane Departure Warning, Intelligent Lane Intervention and standard Automatic Emergency Braking.
