2020 Nissan Frontier V6 engine

At the heart of the new 2020 Nissan Frontier is an all-new V6 engine and 9-speed automatic transmission. A 3.8-liter V6 engine cranks out an incredible 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. A 9-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels or to an available four-wheel-drive system that delivers incredible capability and traction control on and off the road. Key features in the design of the new V6 engine include a direct injection gasoline system, variable valve timing control, a variable displacement oil pump, cylinder heads with integrated exhaust manifolds and a variable tumble control valve. 

The new 2020 Nissan Frontier is available in rear-wheel drive or with the shift-on-the-fly four-wheel drive system with 2WD, 4HI and 4LO modes and an electronically controlled part-time transfer case. The suspension system includes a solid axle leaf rear suspension and an all-steel double-wishbone front suspension.
